like wildlife, sad to say, there is an endangered chinese culture in the philippines. (owwwssss??? hahaha!)

while this culture is great, it does has its down sides. it "might" be the right thing but it's just kind of frustrating.
some of the "down sides"

some of the "good sides"
1. you get a lot of "ang pao" during your birthday, christmas, chinese christmas, new year, and chinese new year. ---the best part of everything!:D heeheehee!
2. you get new set of clothes during chinese new year.--- which i don't wear kasi ang "jologs" or maliit! so tingin nila size small ako...
3. you get a lot of stuff during mooncake festival at "pua tiong tsiu" --- yeah! i enjoy the dice game!:D
4. you are always fetched by car (for girls with extremely strict families but sometimes it can be annoying for the girls)--- ay hindi uso senyorita sa amin so i learned how to drive, which is to my advantage na rin!:D
5. asking for discount in 168 mall or divisoria mall is easier.--- ahahaha!!! TRUE!!!:D

Twilight Premiere

"You are like my favorite personal brand of heroin."
- Edward Cullen

I never heard of Twili
ght before. When I saw the trailer in one of my Multiply contacts, I thought it was some kind of cool vampire story lang, and I was excited to watch it. I didn't even know it was adapted from a book pala! hahaha! Then, as the movie screening date approaches, the more I get to know about the famous fic. That was the only time I got educated. :P I wasn't aware that it was THIS popular.

It's really funny when the things you don't ask come to you unexpectedly. Last Friday, my boss asked me if I wanted to watch Twilight. At first, nagulat pa ako kasi parang, wow, totoo ba 'to o pampa-excite lang? Then she said to me na SM gave her free passes to the advance screening / premiere of Twilight in SM- MOA. E syempre, i couldn't pass on a free movie so I gladly accepted her offer.:) She even told me to bring my younger sibling.:) We're not even fans of the book and a lot of people out there are dying to get this chance, that's why I'm very thankful. Soooooo kind of her.:) Yey! My first time to watch a PREMIERE movie!:D wheee!

Yesterday, after work, my shoti (younger bro) and I hurriedly went to SM-MOA so that we could find good seats. Nakakaloka kasi andaming tao, at wag ka, piyesta ng mga foreigner. Yun pala, 80% of the crowd was from the British International School! O diba? Pero you know what, hindi sila masayang kasama sa movie house. They're freakin' noisy!!! Konting moment sa movie, nagrereact ng sobra! Ung mga hindi kelangan tawanan, tinatawanan! Yung katabi namin ni shoti na girls, sobrang ingay!!!

(Sorry for the low-res pictures... I forgot to bring my digi cam)

The pop-out poster

The crowd

Anyways, back to the movie. WARNING!!! SPOILERS BELOW! Don't read if you are planning to watch!

It was a nice fantasy movie though parang maraming butas ung story and i got turn off on some parts. Para syang Sweet Valley High with a darker approach. It's quite long din, almost 2 hours (what do you expect from a book adaptation?). The cast was cool. At first, I didn't like Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen when I saw him on the trailer. Pero, I learned to love him in the movie.:) Bagay naman pala at nadala niya. Kristin Stewart's also good. The make-up on Edward was so bad... ndi pantay ung neck sa head!!! hahaha! Maybe sadya pero nadistract lang ako! Overall, the movie was effective for me, 'cause maybe I'm still a teenager at heart and I easily get kilig (I'm a sucker for love stories). heeheehee! :) I especially like their sweet lines and the last parts.:)

Friendster Horoscope for the Day

It's amazing how accurate and interesting the Friendster horoscope is. There are days wherein magugulat na lang ako na swak sya sa nangyayari for that day! Like this one for today:

Friendster Horoscope for September 13, 2008
Cancer (Jun 22 - Jul 22)

The Bottom Line

More than ever, your visions of the future are important to foster. Daydream away!

In Detail

More than ever, your visions of the future are important to foster, today, whether that happens through daydreaming, 'what if' conversations with friends, or just simple hoping. You've been in a fog about an issue for a while. You're not sure how to proceed (OH SO TRUE!!!), and this indecisiveness could leave you feeling stuck in a rut. But if you spend some energy imagining what you would like your life to be like, you will give the universe a few clues about what to send you, in terms of opportunities (someone told me about this opportunity thing na rin before) .

So... Illusyunada daw ako... eching!:D hahaha!:P

Medyo ganito nga ang situation ko, well, not lang for today. Baka ngayon lang naisip nung manghuhula ng Friendster kung anu iaadvice sa akin.:D

Infatuation...

....Not seeing the rest of you is getting the best of me
It’s such a shame that you shot me down
It would have been nice to be around
I’m touching your skin
If it’s only a fantasy, then why is it killing me?
And I guess this must be infatuation (I want it…)

-Infatuation by Maroon 5

Are you already in love if you think of him every minute of everyday?

Are you already in love if you think about him before you go to sleep and is the first one you think of when you wake up?

Are you already in love if everytime you are with him, you couldn't look him in the eyes and you can't talk to him 'cause you're conscious?

Are you already in love if you react every time you hear his name, may it be his first name or surname?

Are you already in love if you wanted to go to the places where you will find him?

Are you already in love if you dream about being with him in any kind of situation you are encountering?

Are you already in love if you always catch yourself, looking up for his name in Google, stalking his friendster/ multiply accounts and just staring at his pictures while asking yourself, "bakit ba ikaw?"?

Are you already in love if you react negatively and deny him every time your friends tease you to him or him to you, wherein fact, you like him... very much?

Are you already in love if all you can think about is him? all you can talk about is him?

If so, am I in love? or maybe, I'm just infatuated... again... to you? :P

So anu na nga ba talaga?

Gusto ko lang maglabas ng saloobin. Kasi ang hirap itago lahat e. Nakakastress.

It's so sad cause I can't tell you what I feel for you... Cause I'm so afraid you would reject me again...

So all I can do for now, is write here these things I wanna say to you. I know it's impossible that you'll be able to read these. :) Kaya nga anlakas ng loob ko isulat lahat dito e! As if kilala mo kung sino talga tinutukoy ko. hahaha!:P

All I can do now is just to stay silent, be patient and just dream of you. Ang torpe mo kasi. Leche ka. Hindi ka naman super gwapo (though you are charming! : P) para maloka ako ng ganito sayo pero in fairness, sexy ka ha! (yak! ang manyak ng dating! hahaha!)

Sigh... Drama ito. :P

Lifehouse Mania in Manila

Listening to: Broken- Lifehouse

Haaaa.... Lifehouse concert here in the Philippines... finally after sooo many years of waiting and waiting! This is one concert I'll never forget! Aside from the fact that it was my first time to be in a big concert, lalo na in Araneta, it was also Lifehouse's first time to be in the Philippines. O diba, parehong first time, parang kanta lang nila na "First Time". hahaha!

Before the concert, I met with Toni and Sherdon sa Gateway Mall cause I'm not really familiar with Araneta.:D Then, nagkaroon ng problem ung car. Nahulog ung windshield sa may door ng passenger's seat and sobrang hindi sya mahugot. We couldn't leave it as it is naman kasi baka manakawan ako or mabasa sa ulan ung loob! The guard in the parking area assisted us pero wala siyang mga gamit so Toni and I have to run to SM to buy long nose pliers and packaging tape. Talk about the hassle of going back and forth! Good thing, Sherdon was there to look after the car. Thanks again Toni and Sherdon and so sorry sa wrong timing! :P

Me and Toni before the concert...

After that we went to the Big Dome na to find our seats. Sherdon left na rin. The program started at 8pm, with the opening intros by MTV VJ's but the show itself started aroung 8:40 pm na halos. Lifehouse sang songs from all their albums. Syempre hindi mawawala ang Hanging By A Moment, Blind and You and Me! Crowd favorite yun e! They also sang Make Me Over, Spin, Sick Cycle Carousel, Better Luck Next Time, Take Me Away, Broken, First Time, Whatever It Takes etc.

Jason Wade is so hot...

Medyo bitin ung concert for me (well, maybe cause I enjoyed too much!) but all I can say is uber awesomeness ang performance nila cause they're still that good kahit live!:D Toni got disappointed kasi she's been expecting them to sing Breathing pero ndi nila nakanta. :D Haha! mwah Toni!:P

Hope they'll come back again!:D

Private Joyce Jimenez... In Person

Today, Joyce Jimenez and her soon-to-be partners in business came to our factory for some business meeting. Private Joyce is one of our local buyers and they get their merchandise from our export overstock/excess. (Note: almost all her lingerie from FHM last month came from us) This time, they wanted to develop a line. Ayun… Kahit I’m not a big fan, not even a fan of hers, I had pictures with her. For souvenir’s sake. Choz! She's a nice lady...and she talks fast! kaloka! Andami nagpapic sa kanya here sa factory but she entertained all of them. Ang nice nya. She patiently posed with them ONE BY ONE. Sa dami ng tao here sa factory...

Grabe…Dagdag buyer… tambak work na ito… nakakawindang!!! too tired to make kwento other stuffs.. anyways..here are some pics.:D

Bad Bad Morning: Biyaheng Langit

This morning, I told my mom that I’ll be needing the driver to drive me to work because my car’s coding and I’m soo lazy to commute. At that time, my mom was scolding the workers for bumming around. So ang nangyari, nagkaroon ng chain reaction of bad temper. From my mom, scolding the workers, to the workers blaming each other including the drivers.

When the gates open, I could already feel the the driver, Jes, was not in a good mood. And when he’s not in a good mood, he drives faster and more reckless, more reckless than any of his other reckless days. Everything happened so fast and all at the same road. His first attempt to suicide: He almost hit an old lady who just came down from a jeepney. Second, he overtook this jeepney, sinalubong ung jeepney from the opposite direction, and nearly scratching the sides of the car cause we’re like, centimeters away from the jeep’s metal bumper. This time, sinaway ko na siya.

“Oy, dahan-dahanin mo pagtakbo!wag mainit ulo!”.

And not far from the incident came another scenario. As we approached a small intersection, nakita ko na there’s this tricycle carrying gasul tanks, speeding up to cross. P*tang*nang driver na to, ndi nagpaawat. He, too, stepped on the gas pedal like there’s tomorrow! And then, we almost crashed into each other. The brakes were so strong that I could hear it screech loudly. Akala ko, babangga na talaga. The driver, then, went down and cursed/shouted the tricycle driver but what can it do dba? Panu kung tumuloy ng bangga?! I was in a very shocked mode when I shouted at him.

Jgo: “JES!! ANU BA?! MUNTIK NA TAYONG MABANGGA! BAKIT BA ANG BILIS-BILIS MO MAGPATAKBO? KUNG MAINIT ULO MO, UMUWI NA TYO! AYAW KO PANG MAMATAY!!!”

Jes: “ E ung traysikil naman ung mey mali e! Tayo ung nasa tamang takbo! Mas malaki kalsada nitong tinatakbohan natin e! Siya ung mabilis magpatakbo!”

Jgo: “IKAW PA RIN MAY MALI! BAKIT BA KASI LAGI KANG NAGMAMADALI?! INTERSECTION PA RIN YAN! MAY KALSADA RIN NA MGA SASAKYAN NA LUMALABAS AT TUMATAWID! ALAM MO NAMAN NA PAG INTERSECTION KEALANGAN MAG-SLOW DOWN OR HUMINTO DIBA? ANU KA BA?!”

Jes (trying not to raise his voice):”Yung traysikil nga ang may kasalanan! Nakita nyang mabilis takbo ku binilisan nya rin! E bakit mo aku sinisigawan? Hindi mo ako kailangan sigawan!"

Jgo:
“SINISIGAWAN KITA KASI MUNTIK NA TAYONG MABANGGA! KINABAHAN AKO NG SOBRA! E PANU KUNG MAY MAMATAY HA?! AT KELAN BA KITA SINIGAWAN? DIBA NGAYON LANG? SA BUONG BUHAY MONG NAGTRABAHO DITO, NGAYON LANG DIBA?!”

Jes: “Alam mo kung ibang tao sumigaw sa akin, magagalit ako pero kung amo ko yun, matataranta ako. Amo kita e siyimpri matataranta ako! Parang pa gung mama mo sinisigawan ako…..”

And so on, trying to point out lame reasons and still won’t accept it was his fault. Hindi na ako umimik. I was trying not to cry pero bumigay rin. And he shutted his mouth na. That time kasi I was so afraid and at the same time thankful. Gasul tanks ang karga ng tricycle and they’re really sensitive to bumps… I was praying and thanking God dahil walang nangyaring whatsoever… And right now... I’m experiencing a bad hangover from the incident… It’s burning my heart…

New Hairlaloooo

I had a haircut last Thursday by myself. Kim cannot come cause of the strong rain. Well she told me she can't come when I was already at Fix. Kaya nagsolo ako. The reason why I wanted to cut my hair? I'm tired of my look. I wanted a change. I wanted to at least, deviate from the style I used to instruct the hair dresser to do. No more Mandy Moore inspired cuts.:) This has got to end.

So now, I'm posting some of my pics just so I could compare if I've really changed.:) And I am sure, I made a BIG change of image.:p

Sweet and Youthful

Last June 10, my cousin had a wedding. And because the event was strictly formal, it was my time to dress up. Yehey! I love love dressing up. So, that included the choice of dress, make-up colors and most especially, the curling of the hair. I've always wanted to have wavy/curly hair. The advantage of having long hair is that you can style it and curl it anytime and anywhere you want. You just got to have the time and patience. It took my sister 2 hours to curl my hair cause it's really really stubborn...like me.:D

Casual, Straight and Simple

This was on my pre-birthday gimik, also in June. It was an after work affair so I don't have much time to curl and style my hair. So I let it stay as it was. My hair settled on its place without any effort. That is because I'm naturally straight, wherein a little combing and setting lotion did the trick.

Plain Jane

This is mwah, before the day i had my hair cut. No styling agents, not even combed the whole day (I'm busy at work). Just plain long layered hair.

The New and the Exciting

Charaaannn!!! This is me now!:) I know, I'm a little out of the trend (asymmetrical bob) but I don't friggin' care!:D My current hairstyle is inspired from Jenny McCarthy/ Victoria Beckham/ Mariel Rodriguez's bob hairdo. It was really a risk for me to cut my hair THIS SHORT. I've never cut my hair this short before cause I have round face when I smile and it is very very unflattering! But, taking the risk was worth it.:) Sabi nga ni Robbiex, "Mas malandi ka tignan sa hair mo". Well, at least, it's low maintenance and breakage free. I love my hair. I'm so mataray and kontrabida with this new hair!

Here's a before and after pic so I could compare how much of me have changed after the new do. Well, what can you say?:P

Birthday Hangover

Yesterday, I woke up in the morning, with my head aching like hell. Yes, this was the "result" of over watching Heroes (thanks for BJ for burning me the series) every night 'til my eyes hurt. I'm never too late pa naman for this craze coz RPN 9 is still airing the series and Season 2 is already on its way. My gosh, it's so addicting! :D

well..just look what surprised me when I went to my desk after waking up... 3 PACKS OF CADBURY'S TIME-OUT FROM MY 2 CUTE SIBLINGS! I so love Cadbury's! MAJOR PIG-OUT!!!

and look at the sweet note they left to me....hahaha...

I had a busy sched at work.. measuring samples, picturing samples for our China buyer, organizing samples and soooo on... My cellphone and YM got flooded by greetings and I'm so touched that people remembered my birthday.:) Thank you so much guys!:) mwah!

Inside my ever messy office (with our Marketing Manager).

When I got home, Ja left me a box of buko pie and a bouquet of flowers. My dad also sang Happy Birthday to me that I cried cause I was so touched. He rarely sings kasi.:) Right now, I can't wait for our PPG gimik this Saturday. Thank you guys for making my birthday worth remembering! mwah!

June Fever

Song of the Day: Nothing Lasts Forever- Maroon 5 (loving the album more and more!)

Wow! Time is really flying fast! It’s already June! How I love this month. It’s rainy season again so the weather is cool allowing me to wear my “cold season outfits” without looking stupid or being uncomfortable. :D Another thing is not only because it’s my birth month, well, a lot of my friends also celebrate their birthdays this time, but it’s always in June, next to December, that I have a lot of stuffs to do. I love being busy and organized. La lang, the feeling after finishing a task is very fulfilling. Actually, I’ve listed some of my scheds and exciting events for this month. Here it goes:

June 1- impromptu dinner (like we planned it at around 5 pm na!) with Kim and Vinci in SM-MOA. We ate at Gram’s Diner .:) Chicken Steak= YUMMY!

June 3- went out with my sister, mom and aunts for a shopping trip in Glorietta. Actually, there was really no need for me to go with them…but sabi nga nila, they needed some “expert fashion advice”. Haha. They needed to buy shoes and make-up for next month’s wedding and this was their only available time. It was really a fun “lakwatsa” with my aunts kasi it’s been a long time na since we went out.

June 4- Happy Birthday to my dear Mama!:D

June 5- I already went to Ja’s shop for a meeting. My mom and aunts wanted me to design their gowns for a July wedding, which is my cousin’s (mom’s side) wedding. Nakaka-drain magdesign lalo na sa mga relatives kasi they’re the ones who expects talaga. Buti na lang, Ja was there to help me finalize some designs.:) FYI, she’s also in charge of the sewing and everything. Design lang talaga sa kin.

June 8- go to Robinson’s Place to get a pedi (sosyal..sa RP pa talaga!) for a June 10 wedding, which happens to be my other cousin’s (dad’s side) wedding.

June 9- Happy Wedding Anniversary to my Parents.:D

June 10- Happy Birthday, Irene dear!!! miss yah!
-My cousin’s wedding day and I’m goin to be in charge of the guest list/ usher at the reception...so it's time to dress up again!:P

June 11- Happy Birthday Raffy!
-considered as the holiday instead of June 12 so I have time to go to Divisoria to buy some materials for my designs.

June 16- Bridal Fair in PICC and my friends are gonna be in the fashion show! Whee!

June 20- my mom and aunt’s fitting date

June 24- Red Box Gimik with my friends

June 25- Happy Birthday Tia!!!baklush!!!

June 26- Happy Birthday to my cousin William!:P

June 27- Happy Birthday Ja!!!!! mwah!

June 28- Happy Birthday to me!!!!:P

June 29- The gowns should be done!

June 30- Gimik with mah gurlfriends in Greenbelt.:) miss ya guys!:D

..and maybe there will be more unexpected stuffs to come! me loves surprises!:D

Tagged!

Song of the Day: Dead!- My Chemical Romance

Got tagged by larry. :)

It took me a while before I can think of facts still unknown to my friends… They already know where to find my mole on my face, my fetishes, my past issues as a kid and more…Ganyan ako ka-open with my friends.. so here are 7 random facts bout me na I think some of you guys know na…

1. I get really REALLY moody before my monthly period so…beware na lang..hehe. It’s an obvious hint that I’ll be having my period when I start to become very very irritating/easily irritated, super depressed and hyperly annoying. Also, I have sudden cravings for food which ndi kaagad mabibili. Like the last time I had a craving, sinadya ko pa ang SM Mall of Asia only for that Gyoza Burger in Tokyo CafĂ©. I think it’s normal for women to be like that.. Well, can’t blame us for that.. Hehehe. :D

2. As a growing teen, my favorite boy band was 911 and I had a crush on their lead vocalist Lee Brenan. I even hated Emma Bunton a.k.a. Baby Spice coz she’s been linked to him. Talk bout being a freaky fan. “Don’t go changing, rearranging, hold on to the love sensation..” yak..naaalala ko pa ung lyrics… hahaha! They’re disbanded a long long time ago na.. can’t believe I still know them..

3. I took guitar lessons when I was in gradeschool but eventually got uninterested to it. Mas pinili ko na lang magdrawing.. Sayang, multi-talented sana ako…:D I can’t remember a single thing na nga from it e..sigh..

4. I hate hate hate heights. Even the sight of things, especially people, which are almost going to fall scares me big time. My dad and siblings would always joke me about it. There was this incident in our house, err..building, wherein we have a party on the 6th floor. Tapos ung dad ko pasimuno. He jumped over the balcony rail where half of his body was already hanging out and waved at me while calling my name.. "achi! achi! tingin mo si papa! woohooo!". Then my two siblings followed. So the 3 of them waved at me while I screamed like a freak. My legs were shaking crazy and my heart was beating really really fast. Naiyak pa nga ako e tpos mura ako ng mura. Then they would just laughed at me.. That’s how scared I am of heights…

5. I don’t eat exotic food like dogs, goats, bugs, mice and other non-familiar-looking-like-pork food. I cried in front of the turtle stew when my aunt and mom tried to force me to eat (FYI, I didn’t eat it and will never eat it).

6. I’m a very sensitive person. Take note: very sensitive. I can feel whatever you’re trying to say even in the slightest touch or the simplest words. I easily cry; whether it be of sadness, anger or happiness. Paranoid nu? Well, I’m a Cancerian e..that’s so natural… diba Ja? Hahaha!

7. I love the smell of earth, not mud. Lam nyo ung medyo parang amoy singaw ng lupa pag malapit na umulan. Basta I love that smell. It makes me excited for the coming rain and sets me into a relaxed mood. The smell of newly opened aircon also excites me...a few seconds of being "high" :D

I’m gonna tag 3 peeps.. JA, TONI, and NICK.
